This position provides legal advice and consultation to MnDOT’s Chief Counsel, Deputy Chief Counsel, and agency managers and employees. This position will research and analyze state and federal statutes, regulations, and case law to support the agency in legal and policy decision-making and business planning activities.
A Juris Doctorate degree, an active license to practice law in the State of Minnesota, AND a minimum of two (2) years’ experience and/or demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:
- Legal research, writing and client counseling.
- Grant/contract drafting or administration
- Work with grants funded by state General Obligation Bonds or work with tax-exempt bonds;
- Familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200;
- General knowledge of government financial transactions including budgets, appropriations, encumbrances, payments and collections;
