The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position with a specialization in Legal/Ethical Considerations in Precision Medicine, which lies at the crossroads of multiple legal subfields, including health law, bioethics, regulatory law, privacy law, and insurance law. The ideal candidate would have expertise in one of more of these areas, but we are open to candidates with expertise in other areas who could bring them to bear on legal/ethical issues related to precision medicine. The faculty hire for this position will most likely have a tenure home in the Law School, but tenure home will ultimately be determined at the time of hire based on the selected candidate's qualifications and interests.
This recruitment is a part of a campus-wide cluster hiring initiative to enhance the UW-campus's studies on the genetics of human cancers, cancer pharmacogenomics, and the legal/ethical issues associated with genetic analyses of human patients. Further information regarding this initiative can be found at https://facstaff.provost.wisc.edu/cluster-hiring-initiative/. This position will be expected to collaborate with other faculty in the cluster on the UW-Madison campus.
