The Public Health Law Center, "a dynamic, public interest affiliate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law," has an immediate opening for one full-time, grant-funded, staff attorney.
The attorney hired for this position will provide technical assistance to community leaders working to strengthen public policies and advancing health equity by addressing tobacco use nationwide.
Qualifications include: admission to the bar, three (3) years’ experience in the practice of the law, and excellent legal research, writing, and public speaking skills.
Preference will be given to attorneys with relevant experience in public health law, housing law, municipal law, or business licensure and regulation. Candidates with experience drafting, implementing, or enforcing local or state laws are also preferred. Occasional out-of-state travel is required.
