April 17 @ 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Judicial clerkships can provide recent law graduates with valuable experience observing courtroom proceedings, refining their legal research and writing skills, and observing effective (and ineffective) presentations by counsel. Clerkships also remain one of the most prestigious positions that a young attorney can obtain shorty after graduation, and can set the tone for a successful post-clerkship legal career. This panel discussion will provide current law students with an opportunity to hear from judges and former clerks about the clerkship experience and the process for applying to state and federal clerkships. The panel will also discuss what applicants can do to help their application stand out, and what they might expect if they are selected to interview for a clerkship.

Hon. Ann Montgomery, Minnesota Federal District Court;
Hon. Peter M. Reyes, Jr., Minnesota Court of Appeals;
Hon. Jeffrey Bryan, Ramsey County District Court;
Roxy Gonzalez, current associate at Stoel Rives and former clerk at the Minnesota Supreme Court;
Matt Enriquez, current associate at Jones Day and former clerk at both the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Minnesota Federal District Court.
