Our Nonprofit and Health Care Practice Groups seek a senior or associate level attorney with 3 or more years of relevant experience who has worked extensively with nonprofits and health care entities to join their busy practices. The qualified individual will have strong working knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the health care industry and tax exempt organizations. We seek specific experience with health care providers, payers and nonprofit organizations in the following areas:
Health care regulation, compliance and governance
Tax advice for tax exempt organizations
Internal investigations
Attorney General inquiries, investigations and responses
Charitable contributions, UPMIFA, endowment fund, and sponsorship agreements
Joint ventures, strategic alliances, and vendor agreements
Policy development and risk management
Mergers, reorganizations and dissolutions
Exceptional research and writing skills with strong attention to detail required. Academic credentials will be weighed along with other indicators of ability, motivation and initiative.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a group while managing multiple client matters. Must be admitted to practice in MN (or eligible). No transferable client work is required. Work location in Minnesota is preferred, but is negotiable.
