Energy Real Estate Associate – [Des Moines, IA]

We are seeking an Energy Real Estate Associate to join our Energy Department in our Des Moines or Minneapolis offices.  This associate would work on project site control for wind,  solar, transmission and pipeline energy projects, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing lease and easement agreements and completing the necessary title review and corrective work to achieve financeable site control. Our team regularly assists with real estate matters, permitting, commercial and construction contracts, and financing. We represent a broad array of clients, including independent power producers, independent transmission companies, traditional utilities and many others.

Preferred candidates will have:

–              1-3 years of related legal experience

–              Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills

–              Strong academic background

–              J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School

–              Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
