Entry-Level Transactional Associate (#703)
Dorsey is seeking an entry-level associate to join the Public Finance practice group in our Minneapolis office in 2022 (subsequent to bar exam for new attorneys, prior if already admitted). This attorney will join a group of 19 Public Finance attorneys spread across four Dorsey offices (Minneapolis, Des Moines, Missoula and Salt Lake City) who help state and municipal entities, banks, underwriters and nonprofits complete complex, sophisticated transactions as well as more traditional infrastructure finance work. Our clients seek our legal advice to build schools, parks, community centers, theaters, streets, hospitals and nursing homes, multi-family housing, jails, wastewater and solid waste facilities, stadiums, utilities and many other facilities as well as to finance single-family mortgage loans and student loans.
Are you interested in starting or continuing your career as a transactional attorney, working on projects that make a difference in your local community? Do you want to become an expert in an interesting area of transactional law incorporating state and federal tax, securities, real estate, secured transactions, nonprofit and municipal law, with close mentoring and training by partners who are nationally recognized in their field? If so, we strongly encourage you to apply for this role.

– A 2021 JD degree or anticipated 2022 JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
– The ability to be admitted to the Minnesota bar
– Interest or experience in a transactional practice
– Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
– Excellent critical thinking, analytical and writing skills
