Felhaber Larson is seeking to add an attorney to join our thriving employee benefits practice. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials; excellent research, writing and analytical skills; substantial experience in employee benefits; and a demonstrated desire to pursue a long-term practice advising businesses and their owners in a team environment.
Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
Experience handling matters involving qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and ESOPS, including issues arising under ERISA, the ACA and the MPPAA
Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities and a workload of diverse matters in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
Education
Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota
Years of Experience
3+ years of legal experience
Specialized Knowledge Required
3+ years of experience with qualified and non-qualified retirement plans
3+ years of experience with ERISA
