This position supports the Director, Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO), in implementing the Council’s Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity (AA/EO), Civil Rights, and Equity & Diversity objectives and initiatives through investigation and resolution of complaints related to protected class. This includes: (i) partnering with leadership, managers and employees to create awareness for council staff of OEO as an effective and trusted resource for protected class issues; (ii) Council-wide training in comprehensive standard operating procedure for civil rights compliance and tracking, review of reports, and resolution; (iii) supervising staff in coordination, distribution and instruction of work, monitoring work for quality and timeliness, and evaluating performance; and (iv) primary for investigation and resolution of matters.

SALARY: $38.31 – $57.83 Hourly    $79,684.80 – $120,286.40 Annually

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Juris Doctorate (JD) and two (2) years of experience in the investigation and management of EEO, ADA, affirmative action or employment related complaints and mediating conflict, of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/management position

OR

Master’s degree in social science, law, human resources, public administration or related field and three (3) years of experience in the investigation of EEO, ADA, affirmative action or employment related complaints and mediating conflict, of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/management position

OR

Bachelor’s degree in social science, law, human resources, public administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in the investigation of EEO, ADA, affirmative action or employment related to complaints and mediating conflict, of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/management position. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
