Knock First Minnesota agrees on language for No-Knock Ban
University of St. Thomas School of Law Community Justice Project students Jess Palyan, Sarah Murtada, Aly Johnson, and Yastril Nañez make up Knock First Minnesota, an advocacy group committed to banning no-knock warrants through comprehensive legislation. The group has come to a unanimous decision about what the best language for a No-Knock Ban should look like. They are proud to present the Responsible Warrant Execution Act, a piece of model legislation designed to get no-knock warrants completely banned. So, every Minnesotan has a chance to answer the door.
