Position Overview:

As an Employment Lawyer, you will be a key resource for the Human Resources department, supporting the executive team and various business units. You will assist in managing employee matters, including internal investigations, licensing issues, policy reviews, sanctions, and disciplinary actions. This role offers a great opportunity for a lawyer with 2-6 years of employment law experience who is looking to grow their career within a supportive and fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on employment-related matters, including employee investigations, sanctions, licensing issues, and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR department, executive leadership, and business units to develop and implement employment policies and best practices.
  • Advise on compliance with labor laws, workplace regulations, and industry-specific guidelines within healthcare.
  • Assist in resolving employee disputes and mitigating legal risks associated with employment decisions.
  • Play an active role in developing employee relations strategies to foster a positive and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years of employment law experience, with an emphasis on supporting employee matters (investigations, sanctions, policy development).
  • Experience working with healthcare or regulated industries is a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, workplace policies, and employment practices.
  • Business acumen with the ability to align legal advice with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer service-oriented, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work onsite at least 3 days a week.
