Faegre Drinker is actively seeking an attorney to join the Labor and Employment group in the Minneapolis office. Ideal candidates will be admitted to practice in Minnesota (or eligible for admission on motion) and have at least three years of experience in employment law matters and a strong commitment to client service and teamwork. Prior employment litigation experience is required and employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.
Faegre Drinker’s global Labor & Employment Group includes multiple teams, including its 35 member Counseling, Training, and Transactions (CTT) team of employment law professionals focused on developing and utilizing deep expertise to provide prompt and practical advice to assist clients in managing complex workforce matters. With a collaborative and team-based approach to counseling clients, the CTT team partners with clients to develop proactive strategies and solutions for addressing employment issues and mitigating the risk of litigation. As part of a large, full-service firm, members of the CTT team also regularly work with attorneys in other firm practice groups, including benefits & executive compensation, corporate, and intellectual property, on corporate transactions and other complex multi-disciplinary matters. Duties are expected to include a broad range of employment counseling and transaction-related matters, including hiring, terminations, wage-hour, disability and leave management, discrimination and harassment, M&A support, and drafting and advising employers on employment agreements, separation agreements, employment policies, and other transactional employment matters. Prior litigation experience will provide the knowledge and experience base to effectively identify and address legal issues, and candidates should have a strong desire to be part of an exceptionally collaborative team focused on serving clients. Candidates will have strong academic credentials, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and professional recommendations where appropriate.
